Physical Security. Physical security measures protect buildings, people and information against
criminal acts. The objectives are to develop physical security plans, surveys, and/or inspections.
These plans should ensure that the intrusion detection system is supported by a security guard force
that can apprehend intruders or prevent entry by unauthorized persons. In addition, permanent or
temporary restricted areas should be set up along with the allocation of MPs. Previous inspection
surveys and physical security checks should be analyzed and updated. Develop overall threat
considerations and goals for the installation.
