GENERAL
Military police control traffic to enable persons, vehicles, and materiel to move smoothly and safely.
Traffic control on the battlefield, termed battlefield circulation control (BCC), is a major mission of the
military police. Many of the principles and procedures used on the battlefield to control the flow of
traffic are also used in peacetime, and vice versa.
In a peacetime environment on military installations, military police enforce traffic laws.
