In this lesson you will learn the organization, function, and procedures

used in a highway control system.

You will be given this subcourse; Appendix A, FM 19-4, and a

route reconnaissance overlay.

STANDARD:

Demonstrate your competency in the task by correctly answering

70 percent of the examination questions.

INTRODUCTION

One of the most important tasks you will have to do in combat is to conduct

and supervise a hasty route reconnaissance. The information you gather and

provide may be critical to winning the battle. In order to understand how

important this is, you need to know about the total battlefield circulation

control system.

Then you will understand how and where you fit into the

system.

Battlefield Circulation Control (BCC).

General.

Battlefield circulation control (BCC) is a major military police

combat mission.

BCC is those steps taken to expedite and control the

movement of personnel and vehicles in the area of operations. Think of the
