The polygraph examiner will normally be called upon to testify at a court-
martial relative to:
his opinions as to the examinee's deception.
the polygraph examination's results.
the examinee's truthfulness or deception.
any statements made by the examinee during the examination.
The accuracy of a polygraph examination to a large measure is dependent upon
thoroughness of the investigation prior to the examination.
proficiency of the examiner.
the examinee and his ability to control his emotions.
the type of instrument used during the examination.

The originals of the DA Form 2801, DA Form 2802, and CID Form 2 for each
examination will be:
destroyed within a specified period of time after completion of the
filed by the investigative agency requesting the polygraph examination.
retained by the polygraph examiner in his file for a period not to
exceed one year.
forwarded to the Crime Records Center by the examiner conducting the
