h. Recall. During recall, all prisoners will return to the facility from work details, appointments, or other
activities. All prisoners will be escorted to the facility compound where a headcount of your cellblock will be
conducted.
i. Shower Call. When shower call is announced, you will have the prisoners gather up their personal
hygiene items and proceed to the showers. All prisoners are required to shower daily. Shower call will be
monitored to ensure that no horseplay takes place.
j. Lights Out. When lights out is announced, it is your job to ensure that the prisoners are in their assigned
bunks before you turn off the lights. Prisoners are not authorized to talk, read, play games, etc., once the lights
have been extinguished.
10. Daily Inspections.
On a daily basis, prisoner areas and cellblocks are inspected by compound and cellblock guards using the
following guidelines:
a. Latrine and living areas are inspected for proper sanitation, adequate heat and ventilation, and unsafe
conditions and safety violations. Cleaning equipment must be properly stored.
b. All areas are searched for contraband.
c. Prisoner displays, uniforms, and health and comfort items are inspected in accordance with current
army regulations and the facility commander's guidelines.
