INTRODUCTION
1. General: The importance of preserving evidence cannot be stressed too much.
From the moment you take custody of an item of evidence, it becomes your
responsibility. You must take every care to preserve the evidence's original
integrity as nearly as possible. The supervisor must be assured that you and
